Orlando City B v New England Revolution II

Fry becomes the seventh Academy product to ascend to Revs II

New England Revolution II made their first move of the offseason on Friday as the club announced the signing of Revolution Academy forward Malcolm Fry.

Since joining the Revs Academy in 2019, the Groton, Massachusetts native has seen a meteoric rise. Through his twelve appearances with the U17s, Fry notched a staggering six goals before joining the U19s. Fry netted a critical game-winning goal in the U-19 regular-season finale that sent the U19s to the MLS NEXT Cup. Malcolm went on to net three goals in the U19s miraculous run to claim the Revolution’s first national championship title.

Fry made his professional debut on March 27th as a substitute in Revs II’s 2-2 draw and subsequential 4-3 shootout victory over New York City FC II. Through eight appearances with Revs II, Fry notched one goal and one assist over 261 minutes of action.

The 17-year-old forward becomes the seventh Revolution Academy product to ascend to Revolution II, following in the footsteps of Esmir Bajaraktarevic, Noel Buck, Hikaru Fujiwara, Colby Quiñones, Dennis Ramirez, and Meny Silva.
