Andrew Farrell makes historic start

With his next start, the center back will have the most starts in club history.

It might not have been the result that he wanted, but Andrew Farrell had a quality performance on Wednesday night, especially when you consider that he is on the precipice of making history.

Once again the center back was a part of the starting XI earning the 254th start of his Revolution career. With one more he will have the most in club history.

Farrell has yet to miss a game in the 2021 season. He has had a revolving door of partners at center back and has still been able to piece together a quality season.

This was once again the case on Wednesday night. Farrell did rather well defending Nashville’s attackers and also made some key clearances.

After the draw, the center back was asked about the milestone he’s definitely glad to be in the conversation with some club legends.

Farrell said, “It feels good. It’s a lot of games. Obviously, just frustrated with the result tonight and hopefully we can win on Sunday. But yeah, Shalrie is a great player, so being in the conversation with him is great.”

With a busy stretch of games along with Carles Gil expected to miss some time due to a sports hernia, Farrell and the rest of the backline will have to be on top of their game.

But Farrell should take some time to reflect on his accomplishment as with every milestone he reaches he continues to cement his spot as a club legend. He’s a player that Revolution fans will never forget.
