BOSTON — The Red Sox opened their three-game series against the Baltimore Orioles with a 12-3 win at Fenway Park on Monday night.

With the win, the Red Sox improved to 73-71 on the season, while the Orioles fell to 82-63.

Check out the full box score here.

ONE BIG TAKEAWAY
The Orioles tagged Red Sox starting pitcher Brayan Bello with the first run of the night in the top of the first inning, but Boston evened the score in the bottom half of the inning and then never trailed again in the contest.

Veteran right-handed hitter Rob Refsnyder led the way for the Red Sox with a career-high four RBIs in the contest. The 33-year-old launched a two-run dinger, his 10th of the season, in the bottom of the third inning, plating Rafael Devers to give Boston a 3-1 lead. The right fielder gave the Red Sox insurance when he singled to center in the bottom of the sixth inning to score Danny Jansen and Ceddanne Rafaela. Refsnyder would add a solo shot in the bottom of the eighth inning for his seventh-career multi-home run game and the second time this season.

Rafaela matched Refsnyder’s run output with four RBIs of his own. The 23-year-old started in center field and singled in the sixth inning, plating two runs and adding two more in the bottom of the seventh inning with his 21st double of the season. He finished 2-for-4 from the plate in Boston’s win.
