Red Sox 9, Rockies 3: Roman conquest

The first of many dongers at Fenway for Roman Anthony spurs the Sox to a delicious victory.

This was a fantastic game for a team 6.5 games out of first. The Red Sox didn’t just win tonight; they annihilated a cellar-dwelling team, dominating from start~ish to finish, topping the Rockies 9-3. Sometimes bad things happen but this game wasn’t bad things. It was pretty great, actually.

Three Studs

Roman Anthony

He hit his first Fenway Park home ever, and holy smokes, did he religiously smoke it. You’ll see it below.

Richard Fitts

He went 5.2 innings and gave up 3 runs with 6 Ks. I’ll take it every time! Plus, he got his first ever win, despite having a 3.30 ERA, meaning it was long overdue. Which is what she said. Obviously.

Wilyer Abreu

He had 2 hits and had a single to right so beautiful that Ana de Armas cried in shame. Later in the game, Ceddanne Rafaela hit a homer late but we stuck with Wilyer bc we appreciate Beauty and didn’t want to retype this. So did Romy Gonzalez, and same.

Three Duds

I once again refuse to indulge this ridiculous negativity! Onward!
