The pressure is ramping up on front offices around baseball as there’s no more sleeps between now and the trade deadline today at 6:00pm. This game of chicken the buyers and sellers have been playing with each other for the last month will end today!
The Red Sox roster has earned their status as a group that deserves additions, and now it’s the front office’s job to find the right prospects who are overvalued and move them for pieces who can help the club win a World Series this year. For John Henry, it’s his job to loosen the purse strings where necessary to take on money if it means lessening the prospect costs.
