Welp. That wasn’t great.
Happy Thursday anyway.
After a reversed call the Red Sox simply imploded Wednesday night against the Atlanta Braves. Good thing it’s an off day today to reset.
After a disappointing road trip the Sox return to Fenway Park 19-18 with the suddenly hot-ish Washington Nationals in town for three games. Then it’s the slumping Tampa Bay Rays for four (plus three more next week) if the Sox want to try and hang around in the division.
Remembering 2004
After 37 games Boston improved to 22-15 on the back of s strong start by Bronson Arroyo. Eight shutout innings against the Toronto Blue Jays to secure a 4-0 win. Mark Bellhorn, Kevin Youkilis, and David Ortiz all homered. It was Youk’s major league debut! What a day for the Greek God of Walk (and now Hops).
Talk about what you want and be good to one another.
