Come again another day, preferably when the Red Sox are on the road
Happy Tuesday, Red Sox Nation. It’s another dreary day in Boston, where the Red Sox are scheduled to play the Texas Rangers at 6:45. I’m skeptical of them getting a game in, but with the Rangers not coming back to Boston this season, they may try to avoid postponing.
On this day in 2012, the Orioles beat the Red Sox 9-6 in 17 innings. In one of the weirder games I can remember, Chris Davis (first baseman) outdueled Darnell McDonald (outfielder) in the 17th inning as both teams ran out of arms. Will Middlebrooks hit a grand slam as well. The game took just over six hours.
