Though he’s still in Portland, the 28-year-old could get promoted at least once before season’s end.
Exhale, the Red Sox won Sunday. Also exhale, the farm went 3-2. Let’s get right into it.
Worcester: L, 2-8 (BOX SCORE)

I’ll begin this recap by saying that Robert Stock is one of the most interesting follows in all of baseball. He’s a connoisseur of good pitching and spends time breaking down trends or debunking perceived trends with data. He’s a true student of the game. With that being said, he’s fallen off a bit after leading the Triple-A team in innings pitched and strikeouts for much of 2025. Since making the below tweet (not saying X post) on July 6, he’s allowed eleven runs in 6 1⁄3 innings pitched. He’s taken two decision losses, but I will say that Hobie Harris coming in and letting two balls out of the park in less than two innings did him no favors, either.
Just saw the F1 movie. Would love to know what got more money in sponsorships… Top Gun or F1.

It’s tough to compete in a game with a pitching staff that gives up thirteen hits, but Vaughn Grissom got to Scranton (Yankees AAA) familiar face Carlos Carrasco for a second-inning home run. Yes, that is the Carlos Carrasco, the 2017 AL wins leader who turns 39 shortly, and he went 7 innings against the WooSox, respectable at his age at ANY level of baseball.
Portland: W, 4-3 (F/12) (BOX SCORE)

Never good when the top of your lineup goes 0-for-11, as Mikey Romero went hitless in 6 plate appearances and James Tibbs in five, though the latter gets almost completely bailed out on this because he had a clutch sac fly to pull Portland ahead in the top of the 12th, after which Jesse Wu-Yelland slammed the door. This game wouldn’t have even gotten to this point if it weren’t for Ronald Rosario’s 11th-inning home run and a subsequent lead being blown, the Sea Dogs stealing five bases off the Fightin Phils, or Connelly Early getting back in the green in a 5 2⁄3 innings effort in which he struck six out allowing one run on three hits. Oh, and there’s Noah Song striking out four of the five guys he faced, too. He’s now at 10 strikeouts in eight innings in the month of July.
Greenville: L, 2-3 (BOX SCORE)

Similar to Portland, the top of Greenville’s lineup went 0-for-12 with three identical stat lines: 0-for-4 with one strikeout and no walks. Shea Sprague had a night— not a compliment but not inherently an insult, either. He allowed a home run but pitched 5 2⁄3 innings, that home run being the weak spot while striking out just two. Sprague’s home run wasn’t the reason the Drive fell to the Hot Rods (Rays High-A), though, it was more that the team didn’t put any runners in scoring position at all; their only runs came from home runs from Johanfran Garcia and Will Turner.
Salem, Game 1: W, 7-6 (F/10) (Continued from 7/19) (BOX SCORE)

The rain ended Luis Cohen’s start early, which is pretty fortunate for Cohen because he didn’t look good, allowing four runs on five hits in as many outs (though one of those runs was due to Griffin Kilander allowing a single when the game picked up after a suspension on Saturday night.) Luckily, Yosanier Ascenio put the team in an awesome situation in the first inning to not let this affect them too much, but the game still hit extras, where the Sox relied on a lockdown outing from Joe Vogatsky and, knowing a whole next game was coming up, an extra inning from Eybersson Polanco. In the end, it was twin singles by Karim Ayubi and a walk-off from Natanael Yuten that sealed it for Salem.
Salem, Game 2: W, 5-3 (F/7) (BOX SCORE)

With the relief that this game would go just seven innings, Cam Booser trade acquisition Yoikher Fajardo went four innings allowing a run, and even with a rough Nathanael Cruz inning behind him, Salem was able to pull away from Fayetteville (Astros A) with a W thanks to a late boost from Yoelin Cespedes’ 5th home run of 2025.
Have a happy Monday!
