In a day that featured two rain-outs, we know Garcia’s offense isn’t in a drought.
Worcester: L, 2-4 (BOX SCORE)

Jhostynxon Garcia was called up to Worcester on May 20. Since then, all he has done is hit nine home runs including one last night, slug .603 (!!!) and lead the team in batting average while only committing two errors so far at right field, which, to a Red Sox team that leads the league in errors, is excusable. The hitting wasn’t contagious, though: The WooSox had just five hits on the night in Wilkes-Barre (Yankees AAA) and Tyler Uberstine let two balls leave the park in his four innings, though the WooSox pitching staff, including Jordan Hicks, did strike thirteen Rail Riders out.
Portland: L, 1-3 (BOX SCORE)

Four and two-thirds scoreless innings in Binghamton (Mets AA) for Dalton Rogers, but then Noah Song allowed a three-run home run to lead off the sixth after coming in to finish the fifth, and in the seventh, two more runs made this a tough deficit to overcome. It was a rough walk ratio for Noah Song, and not a usual appearance for him so far. Mikey Romero is back to playing in the field, and his bat is a welcome addition to the lineup, too, because he had two hits in the leadoff spot and scored Portland’s only run via a Blake Ferguson grounder in the fourth, after which Portland managed just two more hits.
Greenville: Postponed, Make-Up Today
Greenville will play Rome (Braves High-A) in a double-header at 5:00 PM in an effort to win their first series since the beginning of the month.
Salem: Suspended in 3rd, Make-Up Today
Ben Hansen had 2 1⁄3 hitless innings against Hickory (Rangers A) before the rain came down too hard to continue. Salem will play a double-header starting from the third inning at 5:05 PM.
Have a happy and rain-free Saturday!
