Does he fit into a post-trade-deadline reality for this year’s team?

Worcester: L, 9-10 (BOX SCORE)

In the final game played in St. Paul (Twins AAA) in 2025, Austin Adams and Kyle Harrison each got, well, kind of smoked, the former coming on in relief and allowing eight baserunners in a third of an inning and the latter failing to make it out of the fourth without walking six. And, yet, despite all this, the WooSox carried a tie game into the ninth when Hobie Harris got walked off thanks in part to a fielding error by Vaughn Grissom. For what it’s worth, though, Grissom got his second home run of the week off of Randy Dobnak and his twelfth of the season amidst four on the night by the WooSox. Nate Eaton and Nick Sogard accounted for seven walks of the team’s eight total on the night, and the team was up 8-2 after four thanks to earlier home runs by Kristian Campbell, Blaze Jordan and Seby Zavala. Sadly, the lead couldn’t be held, and a game that Kristian Campbell had three hits and four other batters chipped in with two each fell by the wayside.

Portland: Cancelled due to rain

With the season series against the Flying Squirrels (Giants AA) now concluded, Portland’s second-half record still hovering below .500, and Richmond continuing ot struggle, this game will not be made up.

Greenville: W, 4-3 (BOX SCORE)

As the discussion around requiring relievers hastens around the trade deadline, there comes a sinking feeling the team will claim players coming back from injury are, in fact, the big acquisitions for the fourth season running. For what it’s worth, Zack Kelly was clean in his rehab, not striking any Spartanburgers (Rangers High-A) out but also not allowing a single baserunner in his inning of work. This was following a Shea Sprague four-inning start that wasn’t efficient but didn’t have to be. Nelly Taylor was second on the the team in total bases with just three on the afternoon in his two hits, trailing Johanfran Garcia’s solo shot, and that offense happened to be just enough for a tie game going into the ninth… until Isaac Stebens slammed the door for the second time in a week and Franklin Arias walked it off with the bases loaded.

Salem: L, 5-6 (BOX SCORE)

Salem gave up thirteen hits to the RiverDogs (Rays A) and had to pull their starter in the third inning. Jose Bello pitched a solid 3 2⁄3 following that and was perhaps the only defensive reason this team even came close to winning on Sunday afternoon. Meanwhile, the usual Salem suspects were rocking at the plate. Justyn Gonzales went 3-for-5 and Starlyn Nunez chipped in with a double, improving his already-solid .300 July batting average.

Have a happy Monday!
