The Woo Sox did a ton of damage in the third and fourth innings, scoring four runs in each frame to run away with this game early. Entering the third trailing 2-0 to the Bisons (TOR), Trayce Thompson plated a run with a double, before Blake Sabol cleared the bases with a three-run triple. In the fourth, Blaze Jordan delivered one of his three hits, scoring a run on a single. The pitcher was lucky to be alive on his third hit of the day.

A Vaughn Grissom RBI double and a Nathan Hickey RBI single made the score 8-2. Corey Rosier homered (3) in the seventh for the final run. Thompson and Hickey both had multi-hit efforts.
Robert Stock started the game, throwing six innings and allowing four runs to improve to 4-2 with a 3.32 ERA, with the Woo Sox delivering the only W throughout the four affiliates on Thursday.
On Friday, the Woo Sox will send Tyler Uberstine (0-1, 2.67) to the mound at 6:45 ET.
Akron RubberDucks 7, Portland Sea Dogs 6 (BOX)

The RubberDucks (CLE) shot out to a commanding 6-0 lead on Thursday by the fourth inning. Caleb Bolden got the start and didn’t have much, allowing three runs. Jack Anderson got the bulk of the innings in relief, allowing just one earned run over 5 2/3 innings, striking out seven and keeping the game within reach.
For the Sea Dog bats, Ronald Rosario hit his second home run of the season, a three-run shot in the sixth.

Trailing 7-3 in the ninth, Portland made a valiant effort but fell short. James Tibbs III, who returned to the Sox in the Rafael Devers trade, knocked in two runs on a pop-up to second base that was ruled a hit. Allan Castro then doubled to score Tibbs, before Rosario struck out to end the game. Castro and Tibbs, as well as Zach Ehrhard, all had two hits, with Ahbram Liendo going 3-for-4.
At 6:20 on Friday night, Blake Wehunt (2-6, 3.81) will take the hill for the Sea Dogs.
Greensboro Grasshoppers 3, Greenville Drive 2 (BOX)

The Drive bats were quiet on Thursday, held to just three hits by Greensboro (PIT) pitching. Both of the Drive runs came in the sixth inning, by way off a wild pitch and a sacrifice fly by Antonio Anderson to tie the game at 2-2. Center fielder Nelly Taylor got on base in all four of his plate appearances, walking three times, and stealing two bases.
Blake Aita was very strong in his start for Greenville, throwing a season-high seven innings and allowing two runs. Danny Kirwin got the loss, allowing an RBI double in the ninth inning.
Eduardo Rivera (3-1, 1.64) will have the ball on Friday for the Drive at 6:45 ET.
Fredericksburg Nationals 5, Salem Red Sox 3 (BOX)

Devin Futrell got the start for Salem, but allowed four runs (two earned) over three innings, and left trailing 4-1 to Fredericksburg (WAS). Nicolas De La Cruz and Calvin Bickerstaff each pitched great in relief to keep the game within reach for Salem. Fraymi De Leon, who had delivered a sacrifice fly for the first run, knocked in another run in the ninth inning with a double. Yohander Linarez followed that up with a single to score De Leon and cut the lead to 5-3 before the rally fell short for Salem. De Leon and Yoeilin Cespedes each delivered two-hit efforts on the day.
Yhoiker Fajardo, who is now up with Salem after six great appearances in the Complex League, will debut at 6:35 ET.
