Will the goodness of yesterday spill over into today?
As stinky as Game 1 of this series ended up being, Game 2’s win was a lot cleaner and a lot more fun to watch, with everything clicking offensively, defensively, and pitching-wise even with only 3 runs to the Sox’s credit. If we can get that kind of performance again today, we’re in for a series win! Will Buehler get back on track after his disastrous start against the Yankees? Will the Roman Empire wreak more havoc? Will the bullpen hold up if the game is close? Or will the team fall back on its same old mistakes? It’s a Wednesday and the Sox usually don’t usually like winning on Wednesdays (June 4th was their first Wednesday win since May 7th), but maybe Roman Anthony’s presence can change that pattern.
