Is a sweep in the cards?
It’s great to already have secured the series win over the Mets, primarily thanks to bench coat Ramón Vázquez’s pre-planned (in game 1) and unplanned (in game 2) bullpen management; in response, the Sox bullpen kicked absolute ass on the NL East powerhouse—so much so that we knocked them out of first place in their standings! With ace pig extraordinaire Crochet on the mound, can the Sox get their first series sweep since the Cardinals series in early April? If the Mets bats wake up, can the Sox bats neutralize them? And will Crochet be able to give the bullpen a much-deserved rest? After covering the Sox getting swept last week, I’d love to cover them doing the sweeping tonight, but me getting what I want doesn’t always happen.
