TBS is in town tonight as the Mets take on the Red Sox for the middle match up of the three game series.
If you miss Don Orsillo calling Red Sox games, tonight might be your chance to get a taste of some fond memories. The middle game of this series is the featured game of the week on TBS Tuesday night baseball, and Don Orsillo will be on the mic for it.
Unfortunately, it may be subject to NESN blacking out the TBS feed in certain locations as NESN will also be airing the game as they do on most weeknights. I’ve seen this go in both directions in recent years when the Sox game is also the TBS game of the week, so we probably won’t know how it’s going to work in each location until first pitch.
On the field, the Red Sox had to make a move before tonight’s game to get their starter Walker Buehler back on the active roster as he returns from his shoulder bursitis injury. Nick Burdi is being sent down to Worcester as the corresponding transaction.
The #RedSox today reinstated RHP Walker Buehler from the 15-Day Injured List. To make room, the club optioned RHP Nick Burdi to Triple-A Worcester.

Another interesting aspect going into this one is Kristian Campbell’s return return to the lineup. But instead of playing second base, you’ll see him at first base patrolling center field as Alex Cora tries to load the lineup with lefties against Clay Holmes and gives Ceddanne Rafaela the night off.
With a win last night already locked up, Garrett Crochet going tomorrow, and the weather looking downright awful on Thursday, it may make sense for Cora to manage this game extreme aggressively. A sweep becomes a real possibility if you can emerge victorious tonight, and then the weather is likely going to give the bullpen a recovery day later in the week.
First Pitch: 6:45 p.m.
TV: It will be on both TBS and NESN, but you’ll only hear Don Orsillo calling it on TBS
Radio: WEEI
