Happy Friday, Red Sox Nation! The Red Sox are back home for the weekend, taking on the Los Angeles Dodgers in a three-game series. Mookie Betts is out on Friday for personal reasons, so you’ll have to wait a day to see him send a ball over the Green Monster. Even in a down year for Mookie, it’s virtually a guarantee.
Brayan Bello takes the mound for the Red Sox against Emmett Sheehan for the Dodgers. I’m going to call my shot now and say that the likes of Roman Anthony and Masataka Yoshida give Sheehan trouble tonight, who’s had a hard time with lefties this season, particularly when he falls behind in the count.
Shohei Ohtani also plays for the Dodgers. Major League Baseball threatened me with violence if I did not mention him at least once, if not more. Ohtani Ohtani Ohtani. Ohtani.
