What’s with Wednesdays and potential sweeps?
The Red Sox lost another series and are looking to avoid a sweep again. I think today’s their best shot, given Luzardo has the highest ERA of the three pitchers the Sox will have faced in this series. But if Giolito’s still not back on his rhythm, the offense continues to stink, and Carlos Narvaez (whom I do love) has another run-scoring catcher’s interference error/call, Boston may be getting swept. If they lose, it’d make their first six games out of the All-Star Break identical to last year, going 1-5. But if they win, there is hope yet. Or something.
