Tyreek Hill Thinks Former Patriots Star Wide Receiver Is Overrated

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill decided to have a little bit of offseason fun ripping a friend and former New England Patriots star wide receiver.

Earlier today, Hill reposted a graphic on X posing the question who has more hype than talent. Hill’s response was “Wes Welker.”

Welker played for the Patriots from 2007 to 2012, leading the league in receptions three times and helping the team reach two Super Bowls. He was a five-time Pro Bowler and a four-time All-Pro selection in that span.

A number of fans were stunned that Hill would make such a claim about Welker:

“You’re tripping. Perfect slot receiver. That’s like Jalen Ramsey calling you a return specialist,” one user wrote.

“Damn that’s cold Wes Welker was a great player,” wrote another.

“Horrible take,” a third declared.

Those that are complaining probably don’t get the joke.

Wes Welker is the Miami Dolphins’ wide receivers coach, serving in that role for the last two seasons.

Clearly Hill is just having a little bit of fun at his coach’s expense. He probably has all of the respect in the world for the Patriots legend.

Do you think Hill meant to insult Welker here or was he just joking around?
