Some eyebrows were raised when New England Patriots tackle Trent Brown failed to report to minicamp on Monday.
Brown ended up not being there for a valid reason since his flight to Boston was canceled due to bad weather. It’s not similar to defensive lineman Lawrence Guy, who isn’t at minicamp because of contract troubles.
Brown is expected to arrive in Boston later this week for the other two mandatory practices. He was also not at any of the OTA practices that took place earlier this offseason.
Calvin Anderson was spending time in Brown’s place at left tackle but he’ll have to make way for him once he’s settled in.
These will be the last practices that the team will have until training camp gets underway in July. From then on, it’ll be a sprint to the start of the regular season.
