Tom Brady got the opportunity to meet NBA starlet Victor Wembanyama this week and he decided to take a little dig at his longtime friend Julian Edelman in the process.
Taking to Instagram, Brady posted a few photos of himself standing alongside Wembanyama. He then joked that the sensation of standing next to someone than much taller than him must be similar to what Edelman felt when they were teammates.
“Awesome to meet you @wemby. Incredible young man. Usually I’d make some joke here about how I think I could get 10 and 10 against you, but let’s be real… you’d send my jumper into the club level 😂😂😂,” Brady wrote. He then added, “PS: @edelman11 This is how you felt all those years???”
Edelman took the dig in stride, going to the comments and replying with the Michael Scott meme, “I’m dead inside.”
But the wider NFL world was delighted to see Edelman catch a stray like that:
