Tom Brady and Bill Belichick reportedly had another important catch-up meeting following the quarterback’s Week 1 honors last weekend.

Per Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald:

Minutes after concluding his post-game press conference last Sunday, Bill Belichick ducked into an adjacent hallway that separates the team’s auditorium from its locker room. He spotted a familiar face: Tom Brady.

According to sources, Belichick and Brady spoke alone for more than 20 minutes after the Patriots’ 25-20 loss to the Eagles. Standing in the hall, Belichick and Brady blocked a path players and staffers often take out of the facility after games. Several members of the organization spotted them, but anyone who came close to encroaching was redirected to take a scenic route out of the building.

NFL Notes: Bill Belichick left his post-game press conference last Sunday to visit with Tom Brady.

Tom reportedly stuck around for nearly an hour after the Patriots’ loss to Philadelphia and even pulled aside wide receiver Kendrick Bourne following his two-touchdown performance.

“He was just telling me I had a good game and to keep it up,” Bourne said. “I didn’t want to hold him too long. He told me to keep going, keep making plays and it felt good to hear that from someone I’d never met before and looked up to for a while. … I was starstruck for sure.”

“It was cool to hear from a legend,” he added. “He knows who I am.”
