The Public Has A Predictable Favorite Bet For Steelers vs. Patriots

Tonight’s matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots will pit two of the NFL’s worst offenses against each other and both of them will be using backup quarterbacks for the attempt. So the bettors are gearing up for an interesting night.

According to Julian Edlow of DraftKings, the most-bet first touchdown scorer for tonight’s game is “No Touchdown Scorer.” There have been so many bets that the DraftKings Sportsbook has had to drop the odds to a 15/1 payout.

“Here’s a new one for me … The most-bet first TD scorer on @DKSportsbook for TNF between the Patriots and Steelers is … no touchdown to be scored in the game at a mere 15-1. Both D/ST also being heavily bet,” Edlow wrote.

Given that the Patriots and Steelers combined for just 10 points this past Sunday (all from Pittsburgh), it’s understandably that people would be so bullish on such a wager.

Here’s a new one for me …

The game is already slated to be one of the lowest scoring games of the season. The over/under is 30 points, which makes it the lowest projected combined score in 30 years.

One thing’s for sure: If there aren’t any touchdowns scored in the game all of the pregame dismissal will have been justified and then some.
