The New England Patriots had no shortage of sensational performances in their 25-0 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday night.
Matt Ryan and the Falcons were like a stress dream turned real. No matter what they tried, no matter how hard they tried, no matter how many opportunities or how many quarterbacks, they couldn’t move the football. They couldn’t score. They couldn’t do … anything but bad things.
So while the Patriots offense put together a ho-hum performance, with Mac Jones throwing an ugly interception, New England came away very pleased with this win on a short week. They’re 7-4 (after starting 2-4) and they have an 81% chance of making the playoffs with a 31% chance of winning the AFC East. That’s exactly where they’d like to be if you were to ask them five weeks ago when this streak started.
Here are the stars, studs and duds from the game.
