Shannon Sharpe Thinks 1 NFL Quarterback Should Demand Trade

There’s been a lot of quarterback movement this offseason and a bunch who have asked for trades. But FOX’s Shannon Sharpe believes that another QB should ask to be moved due to recent events.

On Wednesday’s edition of Undisputed, Sharpe made the case that Patriots quarterback Mac Jones should want out of New England amid reports that head coach Bill Belichick has tried shopping him.

Sharpe said that between the recent reports and the team’s refusal to give him proper coaching on offense, Jones should want out.

“If I’m Mac Jones I’m staying there for what? To be belittled, I’m not winning and you’re not putting me in a position where I can succeed,” Sharpe concluded.

As a rookie, Mac Jones looked like a star in the making. He made the Pro Bowl, finished second in the Rookie of the Year voting and led the Patriots to the playoffs thanks to his incredible efficiency with the football.

But the following year the Patriots overhauled their coaching staff and their offensive output plummeted as they tried to make a litany of new things work. Though it didn’t help Jones that he missed several games due to injuries.

Now the Patriots finally have a new offensive coordinator in Bill O’Brien, someone who – like Jones – worked with Nick Saban at Alabama.

Perhaps Jones can find a way to make things work in New England, but his coach may have other ideas.
