Yesterday we saw around a half-dozen fights break out in a joint practice between the New York Jets and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Today, the New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers have decided to continue the trend.
According to Kassidy Hill, there have been no less than four “scrum fights” between the Packers offense and the Patriots defense over the past hour. While it’s been hard to determine who started the fights, she praised Packers running back Aaron Jones for ending most of them.
“Back to back scrum fights break out with Packers offense and Patriots defense. Not sure who’s starting them, but per usual, Aaron Jones is breaking them up,” Hill wrote.
“In the time it took to tweet this, a third broke out,” she wrote in a follow-up.
“A fourth! None have been serious. All scuffles. But fires are getting stoked and coaches are, well, not happy,” Hill added a few minutes later.

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is well-known for being a stern disciplinarian so chances are that the defense is going to get an earful and then some from their coach after practice.
There have been quite a few fights breaking out in these joint practices this year. It’s hard to tell if there are more than usual, but it’s still wild to see.
