New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has some lofty goals for the upcoming NFL season.
When discussing the Pats’ 2023 season with Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin at an event on Tuesday, Kraft gave a simple reply when it comes to his teams ultimate goal.
“Number 7,” he said.
Kraft was of course referencing the franchise’s hypothetical seventh Super Bowl title.
“I think we’ve had a great offseason,” he added. “I like our draft. We probably play in the toughest division in football, but I love our team.”
All six of the Patriots’ Super Bowl titles have come under Kraft’s watch. But, they also all came with all-time great quarterback Tom Brady at the helm.
Since Brady’s departure in 2020, the Patriots have missed the playoffs twice. This past season, New England narrowly missed the playoffs with an 8-9 record.
The team has a long way to go if they want to reach Kraft’s goal this year.
