Rob Gronkowski ‘Wouldn’t Talk’ To Tom Brady If He Signed With 1 NFL Team

September 13, 2023 by The Spun

It’s a good thing Tom Brady is staying retired because if he had come out of retirement to sign for one QB-needy team, his longtime friend Rob Gronkowski never would’ve forgiven him.

Appearing on Up & Adams, Gronkowski was asked about the idea of Brady coming out of retirement to join the New York Jets as a replacement for the injured Aaron Rodgers. Gronkowski made it clear that he would never talk to Brady again if his former quarterback played for their former rivals.

“YUCKY. POOP GREEN. That looks like poop right there,” Gronkowski said.

Brady and Gronkowski have no love for the New York Jets. As members of the Patriots they battled the Jets together for over a decade, emerging as victors in all but a handful of games.

Luckily for Rob Gronkowski, that won’t be happening any time soon or any time ever.

Brady is reportedly committed to staying retired while the Jets are committed to moving forward with Zach Wilson as their starting quarterback.

Still – Gronk’s reaction to the mere suggestion makes it funnier to imagine what would have happened if Brady HAD joined the Jets.
