Changes could soon be on the way in New England in the midst of a disastrous 2023 campaign.
And while many speculate that Bill Belichick could be one of the first out the door, former Patriots star Rob Gronkowski believes it’s another coach that could seek a new gig elsewhere.
“I feel like [offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien’s] going to take an opportunity,” Gronkowski told Kay Adams. “He’s kind of a head coach guy, you know? I feel like he’s going to take an opportunity somewhere else.”

Now that former Pats OC Josh McDaniels could be available, it’s possible that New England chooses to go in that direction.
Since returning to the Patriots from Alabama, O’Brien has failed to breathe new life into the team’s struggling offense so its hard to imagine he would be a top candidate right now.
However, he did have some success when he was running the Houston Texans. Even if his own GM decisions sometimes got in the way of that.
