Rob Gronkowski Mocks Tom Brady For His ‘Flag Football’ Comment

Earlier this week, Tom Brady expressed his concerns about the current state of the NFL.

While on the “Let’s Go!” podcast, Brady questioned if the NFL will eventually become a flag football league.

“This is football. This isn’t touch football,” Brady said. “This is real football, and I think the physicality — which people really enjoy — I certainly enjoyed. I love the physical element of the sport. I don’t think we should ever lose that. There are so many people that want it less and less physical, it’s more like flag football, which is going to be in the Olympics in 2028.”

During an appearance on “Up & Adams,” former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski had a hilarious response to Brady’s comments about the league becoming less physical.

“You’re a quarterback. I mean, it was already flag football for you, brother,” Gronkowski said. “Some of those calls for you your last year, they barely touched you – especially a call with the Atlanta Falcons. They were given a 15-yard roughing the passer penalty. All the rules go in your favor, Tom.”

Even though Gronkowski trolled Brady on “Up & Adams,” he agreed with his former teammate’s overall assessment of the NFL.

“The NFL is just getting too soft now,” Gronkowski said when asked about the league potentially banning the hip-drop tackle.
