In many ways, Rob Gronkowski believes Lamar Jackson would be a great fit in New England. But at the end of the day, he doesn’t see it as a realistic option.
Appearing on the “Up & Adams” show with Kay Adams, Gronk talked about the possibility of Lamar Jackson wearing a Patriots uniform. Admitting, “I don’t think that’s gonna go down at all.”
“I don’t think that is going to go down at all.”

I think he would be a good fit in a way, but at the same time I don’t think he would be a good fit. It kinda goes both ways because Coach Belichick always kind of dreamed of a Lamar Jackson-type quarterback that could run the ball as well. … But it wouldn’t be a good fit at the same time because he has to pay him $50+ million and he’s not paying $50+ million for a quarterback. So therefore, it’s not a good fit right off the bat because of that reason. So I don’t think that’s gonna go down at all.
It’s interesting to hear Gronk say that Belichick would gush over guys like Lamar in team meetings. But it doesn’t sound like Patriots fans should hold their breathe on No. 8 wearing a New England jersey any time soon.
