Rob Gronkowski Floats Quarterback Trade For Patriots

Rob Gronkowski believes it’s time for the Patriots to trade for another quarterback.

During an appearance on “Up & Adams,” Gronkowski suggested that New England should trade for Malik Willis from the Titans.

“If you want to put some pressure on Mac [Jones], if you want to switch things up a little bit, they should trade for a quarterback,” Gronkowski said. “I’m not talking about a veteran quarterback, I’m talking about a quarterback who can possibly be their future, like Malik Willis.”

Gronkowski added that Bill Belichick likes quarterbacks who can add another element to the run game.

“Bring him in. Coach Belichick loves speed. He loves a quarterback who can also run the ball. He never really had that before, but I always remember when he was facing an opponent like that he would hype them up.”

Willis struggled as a rookie for the Titans, completing just 50.8 percent of his passes for 276 yards with three interceptions. He did, however, shown a lot of development this past preseason.

As for the Patriots, it’s no secret that Mac Jones is struggling. The Alabama product has thrown more interceptions than touchdowns this season.

Do you think the Patriots should consider trading for Willis?
