Report Names ‘Most Likely’ Pick For Patriots At No. 3

The New England Patriots have a great opportunity to land a great player in the 2024 NFL Draft.

They have the third overall pick and that means they could get one of the two best quarterbacks in the class. They’ve been needing a difference-maker since Tom Brady left a few years ago.

Well, Patriots fans got some good news on that front on Wednesday when The Athletic reported that the Patriots will likely use that pick on a quarterback.

With Caleb Williams probably off the table at that point, the team will have the option of getting one of Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels.

All three quarterbacks are the three best in this year’s class, with the latter having won the Heisman Trophy. Daniels finished the season with 3,812 yards through the air, 40 touchdowns, and four interceptions.

Drafting him could potentially get the Patriots back on track since they’ve been down in the depths these last few seasons.

Since Brady left, the Patriots have missed the playoffs in three of the last four seasons and haven’t gotten good quarterback play from Mac Jones or Bailey Zappe.

The 2024 NFL Draft will take place from Apr. 25-27.
