At 71-years-old it appears Bill Belichick is getting back in the dating scene.
After splitting with longtime girlfriend Linda Holliday last September, the six-time Super Bowl champion coach was apparently spotted with a “mystery brunette” at a restaurant in Boston earlier this month.
“Ex-Pats Head Coach Bill Belichick with unnamed brunette at Contessa in Boston,” a user submitted to the Instagram gossip page Deuxmoi. “Clearly a date. Check his smile and her shoes.”
Belichick dated his ex, Linda, for 15 years and she was there for a lot of his crowning achievements as the head coach of the dynastic New England Patriots.
According to People.com, the pair agreed to go their separate ways after their relationship “ran its course.” The two had also “been pretty separate for a while.”
“Bill is all about football and very busy now. He doesn’t want a lot of public attention on this,” a source told the publication at the time. Adding, he “has a lot on his plate.”
“They have issues to clear up that come from a long relationship as well as her role in his professional life,” another added, referring to Linda’s role as president of the Bill Belichick Foundation.
After 24 years in New England, Belichick is now unemployed. He led the Patriots to unmatched success from 2000-2023 with 266 wins, 18 playoff appearances, nine AFC Championships and the aforementioned six Super Bowl rings.
