At least one member of the New England Patriots is on-board with the idea of bringing in former Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott.
After coach Bill Belichick didn’t have much interest in talking about Zeke’s visit ahead of Sunday’s training camp practice, reporters were able to get a bit more out of wide receiver Kendrick Bourne.
“Great Player,” Bourne said, via Zack Cox of NESN.com. “We’d love to have him.”

The Patriots have been on a search this offseason to find a veteran rusher to pair with third-year man Rhamondre Stevenson.
Stevenson, who ran for over 1,000 yards in split-duty last year, is expected to get the bulk of New England’s carries in 2023. However, the depth behind him leaves a little to be desired.
And while Zeke is no longer the two-time rushing champ that he was earlier in his career, his ability as an elite pass protector and tough yard churner would definitely be a benefit to the Pats offense.
The Patriots have also reportedly shown interest in free agent RB Dalvin Cook who is rumored to be leaning towards the AFC East rival Jets.
