Patriots veterans set to report to training camp on Tuesday

One day before the first practice of this year’s camp, the final group of players is set to arrive at Gillette Stadium.

The first group of players already reported to the New England Patriots’ 2025 training camp over the weekend. Now, the rest of the team is scheduled to arrive at Gillette Stadium.

The team’s veteran players — i.e. everybody but quarterbacks, rookies and rehabbing vets — are scheduled to report to camp throughout Tuesday.

Veterans arriving on the eve of training camp is standard procedure in New England and across the league. Like those who already were welcomed at the Patriots’ facilities on last week, the players in this final group will also go through a medical checkup and the conditioning test to determine their status for the actual start of on-field work on Wednesday.

This also means that there is a chance the Patriots’ physically unable to perform (PUP) and non-football injury (NFI) lists see some additional players added later today.

At the moment, New England has seven players listed. Cornerback Carlton Davis, wide receiver Jeremiah Webb and safety Josh Minkins were placed on NFI on Saturday, while tight end Austin Hooper, wide receiver Mack Hollins, offensive tackle Vederian Lowe and linebacker Jahlani Tavai find themselves on the PUP list.

Those seven, just like any other potential addition to the two injury lists, are eligible to be activated and begin practicing any point.

The Patriots will hold their first practice of the summer on Wednesday. Gates will open at 9:15 a.m. ET, with the session set to kick off one hour later.
