Patriots training camp: Day 10 schedule, players to watch, and more

August 4, 2025 by Pats Pulpit

New England Patriots

The Patriots will continue their 2025 training camp on Monday.

After enjoying a practice-free weekend following Friday’s in-stadium scrimmage, the New England Patriots will return to work and the regular practice fields on Monday. The session will be the team’s 10th of this year’s training camp.

Here is everything else you need to know about today’s practice.

Schedule

The Patriots’ 10th training camp session will take place on the practice fields behind Gillette Stadium again. As are most other sessions, it is open to the general public at no cost.

  • 9:15 a.m. ET: Gates open
  • 10:00 a.m. ET: Mike Vrabel press conference
  • 10:15 a.m. ET: Practice
  • ca. 12:30 a.m. ET: Player availability (Rhamondre Stevenson, TreVeyon Henderson, Mack Hollins, Gee Scott Jr., Jared Wilson, Keion White)

As always, the schedule is tentative and subject to change. For more information, please visit our Pats Pulpit Training Camp Guide.

Story of the day

With quarterback Drake Maye’s two interceptions leading the way, the Patriots offense struggled with ball security during the in-stadium scrimmage on Friday. With the team expected to be in full pads on Monday, quarterbacks and skill position players alike will again be challenged to hold onto the football.

Injuries to monitor

PUP: OT Vederian Lowe

DNP: RB Antonio Gibson, WR Mack Hollins, C Garrett Bradbury, OL Sidy Sow, DT Joshua Farmer, ED Keion White, LB Jahlani Tavai, CB Christian Gonzalez, CB Carlton Davis III

Injured: G Caedan Wallace, ED K’Lavon Chaisson, WR Kendrick Bourne

The Patriots’ combined list of absentees and new injuries on Friday was substantial, but the team could get some reinforcements back after a weekend off. While it remains to be seen how many players will be back in action — and at what participation levels — Monday could present a bounceback of sorts after a brutal five-day stretch of practice last week.

Players to watch

RB Rhamondre Stevenson: Once again, Stevenson’s ball security was in the spotlight during Friday’s practice; he lost a fumble that was scooped up by linebacker Robert Spillane. The fifth-year man is still New England’s lead back, but giveaways even in a practice setting are an easy and quick way to change this. With pads likely on, Stevenson will be under pressure on Monday.

WR Kayshon Boutte and WR Mack Hollins: The return of Mack Hollins from the physically unable to perform list led to a slight change in exposure for Boutte, but he showed on Friday that he does belong on the field; he was a top target for Joshua Dobbs and the white team in the scrimmage. In case Hollins is back in action Monday, the competition between the two will be interesting to watch.

TE Jack Westover: Westover’s role as TE2 might have gone to Austin Hooper again following the latter’s return from the PUP list, but he still saw plenty of action lately — including catching three passes from Joshua Dobbs on Friday. Can he keep his momentum heading into Week 3 of camp? He better, if he wants to keep his status as the clubhouse leader for the No. 3 tight end job.

ED Truman Jones: With Keion White seemingly nursing an undisclosed injury, the 2024 in-season pickup saw increased opportunities as of late. He needs to make the most of all the snaps he can get in order to make a realistic push for a roster spot, especially with White set to return to practice sooner rather than later.

CB D.J. James: James has been one of the big surprises of training camp so far, but he did have a few negative moments during the in-stadium practice. A short memory is crucial for NFL players, and the second-year Patriot will get to showcase his on Monday — particularly if one or both of Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis remain absent.
