Patriots Tight End Makes His Opinion On Mac Jones Extremely Clear

The New England Patriots did Mac Jones no favors coming off an impressive rookie season.

After losing offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, the Patriots opted for a braintrust of defensive coaches to run the offense. Unsurprisingly Jones struggled and regress during his second campaign.

While Jones wasn’t at his best last season, one of the Patriots offseason signings is excited to work with him. Tight end Mike Gesicki is looking forward to getting on the field with the former Alabama star.

“Really cool dude. Cool personality,” Gesicki said, via NBCSportsBoston.com. “Love the energy and the juice that he brings to some throwing sessions, all that kind of stuff.”

“And then, obviously, great arm, accurate, all that kind of stuff — make sure I check all the boxes because I know you guys are going to want to talk about it,” he added. “But he’s awesome. Really excited to continue working with him. So, it’s been good.”

New England’s offense can’t get much worse than it was in 2022 – or so Patriots fans hope.
