Mac Jones certainly has his detractors but Patriots tight end Hunter Henry isn’t one of them.
After Sunday’s one-possession loss to the Eagles in Week 1, Henry spoke glowingly of his quarterback. Telling the media Monday:
I’ll just say this about Mac, man: I’ll go to battle with No. 10 any day of the week. I love competing with that guy every single day, and I’ll go to war with him wherever it is, man – conditions cold, rainy, beautiful day, a hot day, whatever it is. The dude’s a competitor, and it’s fun to go out there and play with a guy like that.

Jones finished the game 35-of-54 for 316 and three touchdowns, connecting with Henry on five passes for 56 yards and a score.
Jones threw one pick in the game which ended up being a pick-six to Darius Slay. But to his credit, even when the Pats were down 16-0 in the first quarter he battled back.
New England faces another tough test this weekend with the Dolphins coming to town. They’ll need to be better in all phases to get to .500.
