Before chasing Zach Wilson this weekend, Matthew Judon rushed to the side of a highway to retrieve a missing wallet.
Judon blamed the incident on teammate Marcus Jones, whom he playfully called a “dumb—” while narrating the scene in an Instagram Story video posted Monday. The New England Patriots star located the wallet using an Apple AirTag tracking device.
“He put my wallet on a top of a car,” Judon said. “Good ol’ AirTag saved me though. I was almost at work. Had to come back and track it down.”
So, Matthew Judon apparently wound up on the side of a highway today to find his wallet, which got lost after someone (Marcus Jones?) left it on top of a random car. Apple AirTag helped Judon track it down. pic.twitter.com/VY1PDZBBMx

Via NESN’s Dakota Randall, Judon told reporters he’s “been through thick and thin” with the AirTag. He called on Jones to tell his side of the story before theorizing that the 24-year-old cornerback was rushing out of the house.
“That wasn’t the worst thing you can do to me,” Judon said. “It was just kind of a funny story, and we laughed about it when I got home. But I am thankful that I got my wallet back.”

Judon said in June that he loses his Louis Vuitton wallet “all the time,” which led him to purchase an AirTag. It saved the 31-year-old a major headache.
With his wallet (hopefully) safely stowed away somewhere, Judon can focus on Sunday’s AFC East showdown with the New York Jets.
