A veteran of 158 starts will be joining the trenches in Foxborough.
The New England Patriots have agreed to terms with offensive tackle Morgan Moses on a three-year, $24 million contract, as first reported Monday by NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo. The deal carries a max value of $28.5 million.
Moses, who turned 34 as the calendar turned to March, entered the league in the third round of the 2014 draft at No. 66 overall. The Virginia product has appeared in 166 games dating back to then through stops with the Washington Commanders, Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets.
Returning for a second stint in East Rutherford via trade in 2024, Moses logged 14 starts at right tackle and stayed in for 722 offensive snaps. Pro Football Focus charted his pass protection for allowing two sacks. He was penalized on eight occasions.
Moses now stays in the AFC East to bookend the line in front of rising sophomore quarterback Drake Maye. New England finished last season having conceded 52 sacks while cycling through double-digit starting combinations.
The 6-foot-6, 320-pound unrestricted free agent has played 9,563 downs on offense and 514 downs on special teams in his NFL career.
The league’s legal tampering window kicked off Monday at 12 p.m. ET. The new league year will officially follow Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET.
