
The New England Patriots have potentially found their next starting punter.
According to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, the Patriots have signed former Pittsburgh Steelers and Denver Broncos punter Corliss Waitman. He’s back with the team after he was on their practice squad during the 2021 season.

Waitman was released by the Broncos this week after they signed Riley Dixon to replace him.
He was the punter for all 17 games for the Broncos last season. He averaged 46.6 yards per punt and had a long of 59 yards.
Waitman also had six touchbacks and had 30 punts downed inside the 20-yard line.
Before he was with the Broncos, he punted in two games for the Steelers in 2021, averaging 52 yards per punt with a long of 63. He also had one downed inside the 20-yard line.
