Anthony Richardson met with at least seven different teams at the combine on Thursday — including the New England Patriots.
The Patriots already have Mac Jones as their starting QB, but this meeting could point to some future uncertainty at the position.
Richardson confirmed his Thursday meeting with the New England franchise during his media availability on Friday morning.
“I feel like that was another great interview for me as well,” he said, per Pats insider Dakota Randall.
In addition to the Patriots, Richardson also reportedly met with the Colts, Panthers, Falcons, Raiders, Ravens, Saints and others.
The former Florida quarterback apparently crushed the interview process across the board, impressing front offices around the league.
“I talked to a handful of scouts last night … Every single one of them said ‘Anthony Richardson is the best QB interview they’ve had this year,'” draft insider Matt Miller reported.
Despite initial attention going to Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud, Richardson is gaining steam as one of the top quarterback prospects in this year’s class.
