The Patriots are apparently in the market for a marquee wide receiver.
According to Jeff Howe of The Athletic, the Patriots have called about DeAndre Hopkins and Jerry Jeudy.
Hopkins is expected to be traded by the Cardinals this offseason. Despite missing six games last season due to a suspension, he had 64 catches for 717 yards and three touchdowns.
Jeudy, on the other hand, has been mentioned in trade talks since last year’s deadline.
While the Patriots would like to bolster their receiving corps this offseason, Howe said “price point” remains a key component for Bill Belichick and the front office.
It was recently reported that Arizona wants a second-round pick and a conditional pick or player in return for Hopkins.
The Broncos’ demands for Jeudy, meanwhile, have not been revealed yet.
If the Patriots don’t want to give up draft assets for Hopkins or Jeudy, they could sign Odell Beckham Jr. in free agency. They attended his recent workout in Arizona.
