The 22-year-old made a dozen starts during his rookie season.
The New England Patriots will be represented under center in Orlando.
Drake Maye has been selected as an alternate for the 2025 Pro Bowl Games, the organization announced Tuesday.

The 22-year-old quarterback joins an AFC depth chart that also includes the Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Burrow and Pittsburgh Steelers’ Russell Wilson — a fellow alternate — after the Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen and Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson opted out of the festivities.
Maye started 12 games during his rookie season in Foxborough. Under previous offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt, the No. 3 overall pick out of the University of North Carolina completed 66.6 percent of his passes for 2,276 yards with 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
He also twice found the end zone on the ground, finishing with 421 rushing yards across 54 carries, including a long of 41.
January of 2022 marked the last time the Patriots had a quarterback in the Pro Bowl, as former starter Mac Jones got the call as an alternate following his rookie campaign. And this year, AP first-team All-Pro special-teamer Brenden Schooler was slated to represent New England’s roster before being replaced by Pittsburgh’s Miles Killebrew due to injury.
Set to hit the air on ESPN at 7 p.m. ET Thursday, the Pro Bowl Games will begin with a six-part skills competition. A flag football matchup between the AFC and NFC, which will be simulcast on ESPN and ABC, is set follow at 3 p.m. ET Sunday at Camping World Stadium.
