It’s no secret that the New England Patriots have fallen off a bit since they lost Tom Brady.
They won six Super Bowls in 20 years while Brady was at the helm but since then, they’ve only made the playoffs once in the three seasons that he hasn’t been with them.
Going into this season, they have the longest odds to win the big game of any season that Bill Belichick has been at the helm. Their odds are 70-1 according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss.
Part of the reason for those odds is that they don’t have enough talent on both sides of the ball. They don’t have true game-changers at a lot of positions, which hurts their chances.
They also have a big unknown at quarterback since Mac Jones has been up and down in his first two seasons as Brady’s replacement.
Despite these odds, don’t think for a second that the Patriots will just roll over in 2023. As long as Belichick is there, they have a shot.
