For 20 years the New England Patriots made history with one of the most successful runs we’ve ever seen in the NFL. Now they’re making history in another way…

Per The Athletic, with Sunday’s 6-0 loss to the Chargers: “The Patriots are the first team in the Super Bowl era to lose three straight [games] despite allowing 10 or fewer points in all three contests.”

Fans couldn’t believe it’s gotten this bad.

“First team to do it since 1938!” tweeted Josh Dubow.

The Pats fell to 2-10 today; easily the worst start of the Bill Belichick era since first taking over back in 2000. The Patriots finished 5-11 that year and the way things have gone so far this year that would be a miracle finish.

Next on the schedule is the Pittsburgh Steelers on “Thursday Night Football.”
