There’s a strong chance that the New York Jets will have to rely on Zach Wilson for the rest of this season.
That’s because Aaron Rodgers went down with a serious injury on Monday night, one that the Jets fear is a torn Achilles. If those fears are confirmed via an MRI, Rodgers would be done for the year.
Wilson would be the favorite to start all of the games, but what if the Jets tried to go get Tom Brady? It’s a fascinating thought since he used to always crush the Jets as a member of the Patriots but Ty Law, who is a former teammate of Brady’s, doesn’t see it happening.
“Absolutely not… he is not coming back to play football,” Law said, via NESN.
Brady seems happily retired and has said as such on numerous occasions. He also just had his No. 12 jersey retired by the Patriots on Sunday.
Seeing him play for the Jets seems like an idea that’s based more on fantasy than reality.
