After months of speculation and predictions, the 2024 NFL draft has finally arrived for a New England Patriots team that will be without Bill Belichick for the first time in 24 years.
This will be the first draft spearheaded by the new regime, which includes coach Jerod Mayo and de facto general manager Eliot Wolf. They’ll have their hands full in trying to rebuild a struggling Patriots team that finished with a 4-13 record last season.
Things were a bit sluggish in free agency, but the Patriots have a shot at making a real splash in the draft.
Their three biggest needs are quarterback, wide receiver and offensive tackle. Timing seems to be on their side with this being one of the better offensive drafts we’ve seen in recent memory. We’ll see if the new regime in New England can make the most of it.
Stay tuned to Patriots Wire’s draft tracker, where we’ll have updates and an analysis of the picks as they come in.
