The New England Patriots need quarterback Mac Jones to make great strides in his third year as the team’s starter. Fortunately for them, one throw indicates that he’s making them.
At a recent youth camp, Jones was recorded throwing a pass 70 yards deep which the young receiver caught in stride. Given that his deep ball has been the biggest criticism of his NFL career, that’s exactly the kind of throw that the Patriots want from him.
Fans quickly took to Twitter, gushing over how amazing Jones’ pass was and already predicting great things from the former Pro Bowl quarterback.

Who says you’ve gotta wait two weeks to see some Patriots football, huh?!?
One lucky YMCA Metro West camper hauls in a bomb from Mac Jones — inside the Patriots bubble for a NOBULL youth clinic — that goes for a 70-yard touchdown he’ll never forget. pic.twitter.com/EHr1EU6tPL

The Patriots have done just about everything to ensure that Mac Jones and the entire offense plays better in the 2023 season. They brought on Bill O’Brien as their new offensive coordinator and have made efforts to bring in star receivers to complement the offense.
But as we all know, there’s a difference between throwing a ball that deep in a camp and throwing it that far on Sundays.
Will Mac Jones return to Pro Bowl form in the 2023 season?
