The game-time temperature on Saturday is expected to be in the single digits. Today it is in the low 30s, but the Bills are still electing to practice inside.
Not surprisingly, news of Buffalo’s practice plan was met with some confusion, considering they are cold-weather Northeast team and their upcoming opponents, the Patriots, are as well.
For what it’s worth, New England is practicing outside today in similar conditions.

The Patriots plan to hold their practice outside today. Current temperature: 30 degrees. https://t.co/Ub2lRyhOp8

Your home playoff game against your division rivals is supposed to be single digit temps and you’re practicing indoors? Ok https://t.co/HOIZQ9fjII

Further proof the Bills aren’t built to play in Buffalo. Imagine practicing in conditions you won’t see on Saturday?
What do I know though? The Bills run the AFC East this season. https://t.co/xUxYkl5MNG

I like that considering the current temps and the temp on Saturday is gonna be vastly different but it wouldn’t surprise me if they did some work outside later this week https://t.co/txBWUAKMSG

In all honesty, these jokes are fine now, but we don’t expect the Bills’ decision to work inside today to impact Saturday’s game at all, especially if the team does some practicing outside tomorrow.
The Bills have played in terrible weather before, so they should know how to handle it. If they lose this weekend though, get ready to see today’s decision thrown back in their faces, whether that is fair or not.
