NFL world reacts to Patriots coach Mike Vrabel’s comments on A.J. Brown

January 16, 2025 by Patriots Wire

New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel was subtlety asked about trading for Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro wide receiver A.J. Brown during a recent appearance on “The Greg Hill Show.”

“Yeah, we’ll see,” said Vrabel. “…I’m proud of his development, his personal development. And working on himself and getting back to center. He’s a passionate player, and I love him to death. And I have a very, very close relationship with him.”

There have been questions regarding Brown’s future with the Eagles that some believe are being blown way out of proportion. Yet, others think there’s legitimate smoke coming out of Philly in relation to Brown.

Back in December, Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham said things had changed behind the scenes between Brown and Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts.

“They was friends before this, but things have changed,” said Graham, when appearing on “The Brandon Graham Show.”

Graham walked back those comments after it became a major news story.

The noise on Brown started back up again last week during the Eagles’ playoff game against the Green Bay Packers. Brown finished the game with only one catch and 10 receiving yards, and at one point, he was seen reading a book on the sidelines.

Winning cures all in the NFL, and if the Eagles go on to win a Super Bowl, most of this talk will be about nothing. However, if they fall flat again, one has to wonder if they’d consider shaking things up by moving their star receiver. Patriots fans would certainly love to see Brown reunite with Vrabel in New England. Meanwhile, Eagles fans aren’t buying the trade talk.

Here’s what both sides are saying on social media regarding the Brown and Patriots trade talk:
